Why Ski in Val di Fassa?
Val di Fassa is located in the far South Western corner of the Italian ski area of the Sella Ronda circuit within the beautiful and spectacular Dolomites area within North East Italy. The area was classified by UNESCO in 2009 as a World Heritage site. The mountain scenery here has to be one of the very best anywhere in the world, the mountains take on a pink or orange huge depending on the time of day and will have been the star of many a postcard back in the day before texting and emails.
Val di Fassa includes a number of smaller villages and we feature Canazei, Campitello and Pozza.
The appeal of this ski area is simple, great local skiing (covering 120km) in a wonderful setting with access to the Dolomites Super ski area which covers in total some 1220 km of piste, more than even the keenest of piste bashers could manage in a week.

Beginners skiing in Val di Fassa
30 of the ski areas runs are easy so Val di Fassa is an ideal place to learn to ski, timid beginners will enjoy the excellent nursery slopes which are never too crowed even on busy weekends. Once the basics have been mastered the progression slopes (Red runs) offer 41 different runs.
Intermediates skiing in Val di Fassa
For keen intermediate skiers and snowboarders the Sella Ronda is a perfect choice, 1220km of skiing is available and it’s possible with an early start to do the whole circuit. Less brave intermediates will certainly enjoy the local runs (41 reds).
Advanced skiing in Val di Fassa
The local mountain offers just 3 black runs, not much for the keen advanced skiers and snowboarders but within the full ski area of the Sella Ronda they is plenty to do.

Val di Fassa has 2 terrain parks and some excellent learner slopes, more advanced snowboarders will probably be better off buying the full ski area pass which opens up some 1220km of pistes.
