Chalet Verdet St-Martin-de-Belleville, France
This luxury private chalet comfortably sleeps 10 with room for a couple of extras in the snug.
This modern contemporary chalet is super luxurious, offering fantastic en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan living area, and a wellness suite with sauna, hammam and massage area as well as outside hot tub.
*This chalet is available on a serviced self-catered and pure self-catered package
The bedrooms are furnished and accessorised in a modern alpine style with crisp white linen, sumptuous duvets, gorgeous tweeds and luxury faux furs. Each en-suite bathroom includes a hairdryer, Egyptian cotton towels, luxury toiletries and bathrobes & slippers.
Situated on the ground floor, this bedroom is decorated in warm reds and creams with woollen plaid curtains and super soft carpet.
The Master suite occupies the width of the rear of the chalet and is situated on the first floor. Soft furnishings are in grey & charcoal and a glass door leads onto the terrace.
Situated on the second floor at the back of the chalet, these en-suite bedrooms are decorated in shades of cream and grey. The view takes in the countryside behind the chalet.
Occupying the front of the chalet on the second floor, this room is decorated using a contemporary tweed in navy, purple and brown to offer a really sumptuous room. Spectacular mountain and rooftop views are enjoyed through the window.
The living areas are decorated in a modern palette of greys, creams, taupes & metallics, with lots of texture in the soft furnishing and lots of lamps & objets d’art. A triple aspect fireplace acts as a centerpiece to the entire first floor.
Sitting under the crystal chandelier is a bespoke Italian corner sofa where you can watch the wall-mounted flat screen TV in the living area. Equipped with UK satellite TV and a DVD player, there are lots of DVDs, books & games to enjoy. Alternatively, you can retreat to the cosy snug area on the second floor, also equipped with a TV, DVD player and PS4 console along with children’s DVDs, books and board games.
The dining area’s great picture windows look out across the village to the mountains beyond. Stunning lighting and gorgeous old wood cladding make this a beautiful place to enjoy dinner. A well-equipped kitchen means you dine on bone china crockery with Villeroy & Boch glassware and can watch your chef creating delicious food.
On the huge private sun terrace with outdoor furniture and undercover areas, there is a large hot tub to help you unwind after a day on the slopes.
A well-equipped boot room provides heated bootwarmers, cupboards for all your gear, ski racks and a bench.
Sauna, LED lit hammam and a full size massage bed make the perfect place to recoup after a day on the mountain.
I am looking forward to building on the sourcing of local produce and our relationships with local suppliers. This is to help the chefs get the most out of what is available.
The ability to pick and choose the best produce that is right for you and your guests is every chef’s dream - and something that makes the food prepared in the chalets stand out from others.
I’m also keen to maximise the sharing of knowledge among the chefs.
Good chefs are always learning and refining their methods and it is a unique situation that the chalet chefs find themselves in.
They are individually in charge of their own menus, and they are the ones who get to know their guests preferences and tailor the food to meet them.
With good relationships and some healthy competition, good practice gets shared around.
I am looking forward to having the perspective of an overall view of the chalets, and therefore spot and act upon what needs to be done to maintain consistently excellent food across the company.
Food is our great passion, and in our opinion one of the most important aspects of a winter sports holiday in a catered chalet.
Our food is something that we feel sets us apart from the rest and we are continually striving to come up with new ideas to create perfect balanced menus for our guests.
We recognise that many of our guests will have their own particular dietary requirements and we are constantly looking for new and exciting menu ideas to cater for such needs. To help us give you the best service possible we would ask that you give us as much information as possible about any dietary requirements and/or food allergies at the time of booking your chalet holiday.
At breakfast you will be offered a wide selection of cereals and porridge, fresh fruit salad, organic fruit juices, yoghurts, local artisan breads and freshly baked croissants. On 5 mornings of your holiday (our chef and host will have two days off) we offer a cooked daily special such as bacon and eggs, American style pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup, Eggs Benedict or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon – these cooked options can be tailored to your preferences.
On your return from skiing each day you will find our mouthwatering afternoon tea set up for you in the dining area, with freshly baked cakes, breads and jams, teas, coffee and hot chocolate.
Your evening will start with a choice of canapés and aperitifs around the fire before dinner. We are passionate about using the freshest locally-sourced seasonal ingredients in all our dishes and our evening menus are designed to be beautifully balanced whilst delivering great flavours.
Our food is not over complicated and our ethos is to prepare stunningly presented and truly mouth-watering dishes. A selection of local French cheeses is always offered after dinner, followed by coffee and petit fours. Your dinner will be accompanied by a great selection of carefully selected premium wines.
