This magnificent luxury 4-bedroom catered chalet can sleep up to 8 people. Nestled in French pine forest behind the 18th-century village of Argentiere, two mountain streams flow past either side of the chalet adding to the ambience of being tucked away in a real mountain retreat. An outdoor hot tub sits adjacent to one of the streams, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the amazing views and beautiful surroundings of the chalet. Marmotte Mountain Retreat is a luxury mountain paradise and a place of immense beauty for all who visit.
Marmotte Mountain Retreat is also a great place for kids, the large front yard provides endless opportunities for snowman/snow cave building and tobogganing.

Marmotte Mountain Retreat is located in French pine forest behind the 18th century village of Argentiere, approximately 800 metres from the world famous ski resort of les Grand Montets and only a 5 minute walk through the village to the main street of Argentiere. The chalet enjoys a unique location set back from the village centre in lush surroundings, surrounded by peace and tranquillity.
Ski in/ski out access to the les Grand Montets ski resort is possible through the forest via the La Moraine cross country track, located 1 minute from the chalets front door.
The village of Argentiere can also be accessed within a 5 minute walk along the narrow, winding lanes of the village. The village has a great range of bars and restaurants, a supermarket, a newsagent, a doctor, pharmacy and many other speciality shops catering to a wide range of needs.
This operator’s comprehensive wine list had been hand selected to complement our extensive and carefully prepared fine dining menus. Our wines appeal to a broad range of styles and palettes which embrace the main grape varieties and blends.
All Marmotte Mountain chefs are fully qualified with extensive experience in fine dining hotels and restaurants (often with Michelin Star rating), ensuring the meals are of an exceptionally high standard.
Each morning, we provide a full continental breakfast comprising of fresh bread and pastries, a selection of yoghurts, cereals, local meats and cheeses, a variety of fruit and freshly brewed coffee and tea. In addition to a full continental breakfast, a cooked breakfast can also be arranged.
Upon return to the chalet after your day on the mountain, afternoon tea will be waiting for you made up of freshly baked cakes, muffins or cookies, tea and coffee or an ice cold beer from the chalet bar to help you unwind.
For dinner, you will be served a delicious four course meal accompanied by a good selection of local French wine. For those looking to treat themselves, we have an extensive upgradable wine cellar that can accommodate most tastes. Feel free to ask our chefs to match a selection of wines to your four course meal to further enhance your dining experience.
Our flexible and experienced chefs are also able to cater for any special dietary requirements.
Breakfast and afternoon tea are provided daily - dinner is provided five out of seven nights. This provides you with the opportunity to not only dine in the comfort of your own chalet but also to experience some of the Chamonix Valley’s great ambience and fine dining restaurants. We are more than happy to recommend and reserve a suitable restaurant to your party.
