L’Amara Apartments Avoriaz, France
Want 5-star luxury with the convenience of self-catering? The Amara Apartments are just the ticket. They’re ski-in, ski-out too, so you can be on the mountain one minute and back at the apartments the next, cooking up a quick bite to eat or chilling out in the spa.
Spread across five buildings, each apartment has a high-end but cosy feel with light wood panelling, warm orange walls and touches of gold in the bedding and cushions. The open-plan kitchenette and living area is ideal for spending time together in the evenings, playing games or just chatting.
And if you’re eager for some pampering, make the most of the big indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room – or maybe even treat yourself to a massage, just note that this will cost extra.
Self-catering apartment with kitchenette facilities
When you arrive in the resort, the coach isn’t able to take you right up to the entrance of the Amara Apartments, so you’ll be dropped off close by. From there, your luggage will be transported for you, and you’ll walk to the apartments – or you can pay for a ride there on a piste basher.
All apartments have a kitchenette with hobs, combi microwave oven/grill, fridge, coffee maker and dishwasher, as well as a TV with international channels and free WiFi. Bed linen, towels, cleaning kit and end-of-stay cleaning (excluding kitchen) are included.
When you arrive, you’ll need to pay a deposit of approx. €300 by credit or debit card for each apartment on your booking. Check our Crystal A-Z for more information on deposits.

The advantage of booking a self-catered skiing holiday is often the price. The disadvantages mean either eating out, which in a ski resort is often expensive, or it means having to cook your own meals, which probably means less time skiing, and who really wants to shop and then cook an evening meal after a full days skiing?
Huski, the Alps-based catering business offers a great solution, that means you can still enjoy the great value of a ski apartment or self-catered chalet and eat well without the fuss of having to cook your own food.
Huski delivers a week’s worth of dishes, freshly frozen and ready for you to just heat and serve.
Huski catering is only available to properties in French ski resorts.
