  • Self Catered Apartment
  • Sleeps 8
  • Flights included

, nights

The Maston Aitio Cabins look the part, nestled among the pine trees, but are modern inside and finished to a very high standard. They're set in a quiet location just outside the centre of Ruka – which is a 10-minute bus ride away – so you’ll feel like you’re in a winter wonderland.

Right next to the cabins, there's a tow rope that's open from Christmas onwards. This connects to the main slopes on the east side of the mountain and means you’ve got ski-in, ski-out access to Ruka’s varied ski area.

All the cabins have a private sauna and a wood fire in the living room to help keep you toasty. There’s also free WiFi and a TV for chilled out film nights, while the fully equipped kitchenette makes mealtimes a doddle.

  • Stay in a scenic spot surrounded by trees.
  • Hop straight on a rope tow to reach the main ski area.
  • Modern cabins, each with a private sauna.

Check-in is at 6pm. If you arrive before this, you'll be dropped off in Ruka's village centre. From here, you'll need to take the ski bus to your cabin at check-in time, which is free with a lift pass.

Check-out is at 3pm. If your transfer is scheduled after this, you'll need to make your own way to the village centre on the ski bus to be collected. Due to the narrow roads, the coach does have direct access to your cabin and you might need to walk a short way with your luggage.

The tow lift is only open from Christmas week onwards. The ski bus runs daily until early evening. After this, taxis are available to and from Ruka village (approx. €20 each way).

The advantage of booking a self-catered skiing holiday is often the price. The disadvantages mean either eating out, which in a ski resort is often expensive, or it means having to cook your own meals, which probably means less time skiing, and who really wants to shop and then cook an evening meal after a full days skiing?

Huski, the Alps-based catering business offers a great solution, that means you can still enjoy the great value of a ski apartment or self-catered chalet and eat well without the fuss of having to cook your own food.

Huski delivers a week’s worth of dishes, freshly frozen and ready for you to just heat and serve.

Please Note

Huski catering is only available to properties in French ski resorts.
