Step outside and the bars and restaurants in the resort centre are right on your doorstep, and you can stretch your legs on the 10-minute walk to the Penken gondola. Or save all your energy for the slopes and catch the free ski bus instead.
The hotel has a really authentic Austrian feel, from the wooden balconies to the pine-panelled bedrooms – there's even a traditional Tyrolean farm nearby. And though it's a simple place, you can walk a few steps to the neighbouring Hotel Neuhaus and pay a little more to indulge in the spa or go for a strike at the bowling alley.
The Hotel Neuhaus takes care of breakfast too, and you'll start the day there with a big buffet spread. You can even visit the chef to get your eggs and omelettes cooked just the way you like them.
