Why Ski in Katschberg?

Katschberg is a small Austrian ski resort set in a beautiful landscape of pine clad slopes and traditional chalet style buildings. At 1641m it’s at a good height, and with slopes over 2000m, snow reliability is great.

Set in a valley between Salzburgerland and Carinthia, the peaceful resort of Katschberg offers a fantastic location for a relaxing ski holiday, best suited to beginners and families. The 70km of pistes spread up either side of the valley, so brilliant views can be had from wherever you’re skiing or from one of the mountain restaurants.

The Tschaneck side is served by the most lifts; a mix of drags and both 4 and 6 seat chair lifts, while the Aineck side has a 2 seat chair lift taking you to the top of the piste, with a couple of long runs back down to Katschberg.

The resort is especially good for families with young children, as nursery slopes and children’s ski areas provide excellent places for children to gain their first experiences skiing.
