Ski Holidays in Ischgl
Ischgl is located on a high valley not far from St Anton on the Swiss Austrian border. Located at 1400m, high by Austrian standards, the ski range is between 1400m to 2870m. It shares its skiing with Samnanu on the Swiss side. The full area pass also includes skiing in Galtur further up the valley. All villages are linked by bus. The total skiing offered is around 238km of pistes.
The village is compact and lively with plenty to do. The small car-free centre is home to many clubs and bars that stay open until very late. There is no doubt you are in Austria with the Après ski kicking off after lunch and this goes on until dawn.
Ischgl is an intermediate skiers’ paradise, its high, snow-sure slopes have an excellent lift system with 80% of the lifts modern and fast. The excellent terrain park is one of Europe’s best.
Advanced skiers will enjoy the skiing here too. The blacks are genuine Black runs, even some of the reds should be classified as Black.
For beginners, the problem is that the nursery slopes while easy to reach and are snow sure, require a ski pass, there aren’t any free lifts. The progression slopes are good but can be crowded.
We offer a good selection of catered ski chalets, hotels, some of which include a free ski pass.
