La Massana, with its mostly gentle, tree-lined terrain, is an excellent choice for your early ski holidays. You’ll take a gondola from the village centre to reach the slopes, which are mainly above 1,500m, ensuring reliable snow. Beginners can step right off the lift onto the nursery slopes, and once you're ready, you can explore wide blue and easy red runs that weave through the woods below Pic del Cubil peak.

La Massana is an authentic village with a genuine, lived-in atmosphere. The centre features traditional stone buildings, while newer hotels and apartments are scattered around the outskirts. There are several bar cafes near the main gondola where you can enjoy a drink and live music. For a livelier night out, a bus ride to the nearby town of Arinsal is your best option.
