Late season ‘Ski & Chill’ in Val d’Isere

Further to our recent blog on some of the best places to go for some late spring skiing, Val d’Isere has released more information on the resort’s ‘Ski & Chill’ programme which offers skiers and snowboarders a choice of cultural, musical and sports events between 13 April and 5 May 2024.

Adventure & Discovery Film Festival: 15 – 18 April 2024

The 27th edition of the International Adventure and Discovery Film Festival will show 11 après-ski screenings across four days, at the Congress Center cinema and online.

The evening screenings will show expert adventurers such as kayakers, hikers and mountaineers in action and be presented by travel writer Sylvain Tesson.

A discount of 25% off lift passes is also available if you book to stay at selected accommodation between 13-21 April.

Val’Athlon: Tuesday 23 April 2024

A brand-new team race event, the Val’Athlon, run by Évolution 2, is open to adults and children in teams of one to four people. The competition includes activities such as fat biking, snowshoeing and mountaineering as well as other surprises, and takes participants all the way to the summit of Solaise.

The competition starts at noon and to enter it is €25 for adults and €15 for children.

Paul Kalkbrenner at Folie Douce : 27 April 2024

Partygoers can head to the Folie Douce in Val d’Isere for an apres-ski session with Paul Kalkbrenner, an award-winning musician and techno star. He will be playing on the terrace for an afternoon of dancing and an end-of-season celebration. Tickets can be booked in advance.

As well as the special events there are plenty of other après ski activities and attractions in Val d’Isere in the final few weeks of the season whether you want a short break or longer.

To make the best of the conditions, the tourist office suggests getting the best of the spring conditions by skiing and snowboarding in the morning and then participating in one of the many après-ski activities or sporting activities on offer in the afternoon.

Those who like to pamper themselves can take advantage of the spa and wellness facilities in the Val d’Isère village.
