Iconic Val d’Isere drag Lift to Re-Open After 6 Years

One of Val d’Isère’s iconic ski lifts, which has been closed for the past six years, is to re-open after being renovated a resort spokesperson has said.

Its not often the team at Ski Line get excited about a drag lift opening. In fact we are often campaigning for the slower ones to be removed.

The Téléski des 3000 drag lift in the resort’s Solaise sector permits advanced skiers to reach the Leissières ridge that separates Solaise from the Le Fornet ski area and the Pissaillas glacier.

“The drag lift goes up to a 2960m and the 76% slope here is only suitable for accomplished skiers,” the spokesperson commented. Its believed the tunnel will reopen connecting to some seriously good off piste skiing, but it’s steep and not suitable for skiers not at the advanced level.
