Ski Holidays in St Christoph
Every skier knows St Anton, famous for its great skiing for advanced skiers and outrageous après ski. If you are a regular visitor to St Anton you will almost certainly know that in the opposite valley is a real ski resort gem, St Christoph.
St Christoph is higher than St Anton but shares the same extensive skiing in the Arlberg ski area which has a ski range between 1304m and 2811m with 304km of pistes which is more than enough for a weeks skiing holiday. Add to this the additional skiing on ungroomed slopes totalling 200km, this makes it one of the biggest connected ski areas anywhere. In the same ski area are St Anton, Stuben, Zurs, Lech and the recently connected Warth.
St Christoph is a better place to be if you are a beginner or timid intermediate skier, the long wide gentle blue down from the Galzig cable car is far less intimidating than the home runs to St Anton.
The Arlberg ski area is best suited to Intermediate and advanced skiers, it’s especially recommended for skiers wanting to ski off-piste, as its one of the best destinations for off-piste, for both skiers and snowboarders. However, with 123km of connected blue runs, it's not a no-go resort for even total beginners.
The nightlife in St Christoph is much more laid back than in St Anton, activities tends to centre around the hotels. You can expect live bands and DJ’s on the terraces of many of the mountain restaurants at the end of the day, so you won’t miss out on the fun by staying in St Christoph.
