Why Ski in Steamboat?

Steamboat in the Yampa Valley has recently been taken over by ‘Intrawest’ (who own both Whistler and Les Arcs 1950 to name just 2 resorts, so watch this space – its on the up. It calls itself the ‘Home of Champagne Powder’ and certainly has the snow records to prove it. There are massive views over the valley from the top of the mountain and although not as large as some of its rivals, it’s famed for its abundance of great wooded runs. The town is a little disappointing at present but is currently being revamped. Its best to stay at the lift base village as Steamboat Springs which is where much accommodation is located is a 10 min drive away is wholly uninspiring but consequently cheaper!

Ski Line offer all sorts of accommodation in this resort, ranging from self catered apartments, to hotels and even self catered chalets.
