Expert Ratings
Beginners skiing in Klosters
The Madrisa ski area is the best place with wide, sunny nursery slopes, however there are other nursery slopes at valley level some of which are floodlit on some evenings for night time practice. From here beginners will progress onto some of the many easy intermediate slopes to choose from.
Intermediates skiing in Klosters
Fantastic cruising in all areas, though a ‘must do’ is a very long run from Weissfluhjoch that heads north on the back of the mountain that curls back towards Klosters – 10 – 12 km in all. The long run down to the hamlet of Kublis is particularly good.
Advanced skiing in Klosters
The extensive off piste possibilities will be the main appeal for experts. Head towards Davos for some more challenging pistes. Two of the steepest runs are from Gotschnagrat directly towards Klosters.
Skiing in Klosters
Klosters shares its large ski area with near by Davos and has five ski areas, so plenty to keep all standards of skier happy with extensive intermediate slopes and a great variety of off piste. The long wooded runs down into the village are particularly good. The train that runs along the valley is useful as it enables you to ski amongst the trees towards one of the hamlets in the valley; have lunch in one of the little mountain restaurants or the village and then take a leisurely train ride back home.
Snowboarding in Klosters
Head towards Davos, as Jakobshorn is the established boarder mountain with Fun Park, boarder cross course and half pipe. Near beginners and intermediates will be happy with the runs here and the off piste will challenge the more expert amongst you.
Après ski in Klosters
Gaudys at the foot of the slopes is a popular apres-ski haunt; later on into the evening there are lots of good restaurants (however be prepared to have deep pockets) – cheap and cheerful they are not! The Casa Antica is a popular nightclub and the Kir Royale is a popular watering hole. Most of the upmarket hotels offer swimming pools, spas and fitness rooms. Klosters is also an attractive base for walking. Why not try snowtubing ?!
