Hotel Splendid

Just 5 minutes on foot from the Clotes chairlift, the Hotel Splendid is a great base in Sauze d’Oulx. Add in comfy communal areas and great facilities, like a spa, bar and sun terrace, and you’re all set for a great week in the mountains.

Rooms at the Splendid are cosy, and shades of brown and orange match the wood panelling and timber furniture. The rest of the hotel has the same theme, too. In the dining room, the cladding on the walls is cleverly shaped and lit to look like a mountain scene. And the bar and lounge has a pool table, squishy sofas and low, wooden coffee tables – great for board games.

You’ll have breakfast and dinner included at the Splendid. Start the day with a hot and cold buffet before hitting the slopes. And when it’s time for dinner, you’ll sit down three courses of Italian fare, with a choice of main and a salad buffet.

Getting here

• When you arrive in the resort, the coach isn’t able to take you right up to the entrance of the Hotel Splendid, so you’ll be dropped off close by. From there, your luggage will be transported for you, and you’ll have a 15-minute walk.
