Chalet Dulcis Casu Courchevel, France
5 star, 5 bedroom chalet is a seriously stylish Alpine retreat located in the heart of the exclusive village of Courchevel Le Praz. Close to the new high-speed gondola which takes you directly into Courchevel 1850 and is open till 11pm each evening.
With no expenses spared on the fixtures and fittings, Chalet Dulcis Casu has an indoor pool, hammam, massage room and an outdoor hot tub in the courtyard.
For those that have stayed at Dulcis Casu previously you will notice an extensive renovation of an already superb chalet by the exacting owners, these include:
Evenings in Dulcis Casu have a luxurious but relaxed vibe with twinkling candles, soft leather sofas and the log fire burning in the centre of the magnificent double-height living room. Enjoy a glass of bubbles and take in views of the pristine snow-clad peaks of the Grand Bec whilst your talented chef prepares a memorable dining experience.
Styled by an interior designer, the feel is very much luxe Aspen ski lodge meets eclectic Manhattan hideout, with a sprinkling of classic chalet chic. Huge contemporary artworks adorn the walls, and signed Matisse prints add a sophisticated injection of colour. Bespoke furnishings and loft-style lighting complete the look. Awarded a 5 star rating by the resort of Courchevel, we can guarantee this is a chalet with a serious dose of the wow factor.
This fabulous catered ski chalet in Courchevel Le Praz is run with the same sleek service you have come to expect from Alpine Escape. Dulcis Casu is tucked away behind the locally renowned eatery Bistrot du Praz and is a mere 150m to the new gondola which goes straight to Courchevel 1850 and the Forêt chairlift which arrives at the top of La Tania. Our driver service is available, and you’ll be looked after by our chef and host team, trained to our usual exacting standards.
Quality bed linen is provided, as well as fluffy towels and robes. You’ll also find natural bathroom products from the gorgeous British brand Bramley, as well as an Albus & Flora lip balm.
Prices shown are per person based on 12 people sharing the chalet. This chalet can only be booked on a full occupancy basis
Each chalet has its own chef who is qualified and trained in fine dining, so you can expect to ski on a hearty, healthy breakfast, indulge in a slice of tasty homemade cake in the afternoon, and sit down to a delicious and imaginative four-course meal each evening.
If you enjoy a cooked breakfast (and what better excuse than a ski holiday?) then your chef will cook your request to order. Take your pick from a continental spread of flaky, buttery croissants, fresh milk, cereals, fruit juices, a selection of fruit and yoghurts, crusty French bread, Nespresso coffees, one of our range of quality teas or a builder’s brew! The choice is yours…
Afternoon tea – it’s a ski chalet tradition and no holiday would be complete without a homemade cake, scones or biscuits to top you up after losing all those calories on the hill.
Simpler children’s early meals can be provided – just let us know in advance of your holiday, we’ll ask you a few favourites and create nutritious menus for your little ones. If you are one family and would prefer to all eat together, just let us know in advance.

It’s a serious business, choosing wine for our chalet guests. We use a specialist supplier called Verre Gourmand whose job it is to taste, taste and taste some more, in order to choose their very favourite wines from producers all around the world. Their huge range is then whittled down to provide us with a selection that they think will suit us and our guests.
Now it’s our turn! We work with our Verre Gourmand sommelier to handpick the 18 reds, whites and sparkling wines that we will serve to our guests. We have new tastings each winter and listen carefully to our guests’ feedback.
It doesn’t stop there… The next stage is during staff training: the chefs and hosts get together with our sommelier to discuss their menus, taste the wines and choose made-in-heaven matches for all the dishes on the menu during the week.
You’ll have your pick of 2 proseccos, 2 whites and 2 reds to help yourselves to during your stay. This is alongside the bottled beers and soft drinks that are readily available in the complimentary bar.
Each day, your host will serve the paired wines that the chef and sommelier have chosen to accompany the dishes on the menu. They’ll include bottles from all over France as well as other famous areas in Europe and the New World.
