Châtel is a charming village with an authentic centre and sprawling suburbs. After a day on the slopes Châtel offers a lot of possibilities to enjoy yourself in the restaurants, bars and / or nightclubs.
This chalet is operated by a Dutch chalet operator. If you don’t book the whole chalet you could be sharing with non-British guests. The terms and conditions relating to the purchase of a ski holiday from this Dutch tour operator will apply, a copy is available on request. All chalet staff will speak both English and Dutch.
The elevator to the sunny Super Chatel ski area starts from the centre of Chatel. Here, beginners and children have a great time practicing. The ski bus departs within walking distance of the chalet, taking you to the most interesting ski slopes found in the direction of Plaine Dranse. This lift takes you directly to the ski area Portes du Soleil.
Chalet Alpaca was built in 1993. A few years back, the living room was enhanced with a beautiful, attractive bay window with lovely lounge sofas and just fantastic views. The chalet is located in the cosy, traditional centre of Chatel and near the lifts. It is a generously built house and very suitable for both individual bookings and group bookings. After a long day of sports activities in the cold, the sauna and fireplace of the chalet offer warmth and relaxation. There is ample parking space available at the chalet.
Skiing here is a transnational event because the slopes near Châtel border on Switzerland. Châtel is part of the fantastic ski area "Portes du Soleil". More than 220 lifts make 650 kilometres of skiing available, with numerous possibilities. Less experienced and advanced skiers alike can go 'wandering' for days and make trips to places like Morgins, Avoriaz and Champery, from France to Switzerland and vice versa. The best skiers can find one of the steepest slopes of the Alps (‘the wall’) in Pas de Chavanette and pristine snow skiing on the Pointe de Mosette. In short, an excellent ski area!
This chalet is operated by a Dutch tour operator, who have been in the catered ski chalet business for 42 years, operating ski chalets in France, Austria and Italy. The prices shown below are based on 7 nights catered chalet accommodation only, flights and transfers are not included.
The principle difference between the “normal” British chalet arrangements that you will be familiar with, is that afternoon tea and cakes are not included. However, house wine, beers, soft drinks, and tea and coffee are available and are included in the cost of your holiday.
Breakfasts will be more Dutch in style with cheese, hams and bread, yogurt and fruit juices, tea and coffee.
This catered ski chalet is available for both groups wanting to book the chalet for their exclusive use and for individuals wanting to book by the room. The prices shown are per person.
This operator charges a €35 booking fee. Prices for this holiday are based on a Euro price and displayed in Pounds. Rates are updated regularly but prices are subject to fluctuation.
A local tourist tax is to be paid prior to travel and will be billed on your Ski Line summary.
