Mark Warner, great for Families on peak dates, but good also for larger adult Groups and single skiers
Mark Warner is a well-known brand for both its summer holidays and of course skiing, where it pioneered the chalet concept back in 1975. Most of its chalets are what Ski Line refer to as chalet hotels (apart from just one in Meribel) being larger hotel style buildings run on chalet party lines staffed by mainly British staff. All meals are prepared by fully trained chefs; meaning meals are often of a higher quality than might be offered in many other catered chalets and with a choice of starters, mains and deserts and several choices of wine. Breakfast is a big event with Mark Warner who start the day with either full English, or continental style breakfasts available. Like most catered ski chalets Mark Warner lay on a big afternoon tea, which will include Vin Chaud, delicious soups and home cooks cakes and freshly baked biscuits as well as tea and coffee. Feedback from clients about the food is always very positive.
Mark Warner’s ski programme
Mark Warner have chalet hotels in 7 of Europe’s most popular skiing resorts, including two in Meribel, two in Tignes, one in St Anton and one each in Les Deux Alpes and La Plagne. Most of Mark Warner’s chalet hotels offer excellent childcare with dedicated qualified nannies.
Mark Warner is as popular with groups as it is to single travellers. Many single skiers can avoid single room supplements as Mark Warner will match up travellers of similar age, sex, and smoker or non-smokers to share twin rooms. This is coupled with their social ski programme where Mark Warner arrange for groups of similar standard to ski together on suggested routes and all meet at a chosen mountain restaurant for lunch bringing guests together, where friendships are quickly established.
For many of our clients, Mark Warner is the first choice. We believe the main strength is the quality of the staff, many of whom are gap year students, but always under the watchful eye of a professional manager.
Most of the Mark Warner chalets have in-house beauty and massage service, TV’s in rooms with English channels, Wi-Fi and In-house Crèche catering from Children from 4 months to 12 years.
Many of the Chalet hotels offer various styled rooms from singles to multi-occupancy suitable for growing families.
Ski Line highly recommend Mark Warner to our clients, especially to Singles, large groups and families requiring child care operating from a crèche within the hotel.
