Live outdoor concerts in snow-covered mountain locations, featuring music from many different genres, have become increasingly popular not only with fans, but also with the performers themselves.
Here are a few more examples of what’s on offer before the end of the season.
Rock The Pistes – Portes du Soleil
Rock The Pistes, which claims to be the Alps’ largest music festival, is back for the 12th year in the enormous Franco/Swiss Portes du Soleil ski area from 16-22 March 2025.
Music lovers will gather at altitudes ranging from 1,600m to 1,950m for the annual event when there will be five major daytime performances on the pistes and more than 30 après-concerts spread across the Portes du Soleil in both France and Switzerland.
Entry to all the concerts is free for lift pass holders, and visitors can ski or snowboarder to the performances all being held against a stunning backdrop of snow-covered mountains.

Tomorrowland Winter – Alpe d’Huez
Tomorrowland Winter 2025 will see 150 electronic artists from all over the world descend on the French resort of Alpe d’Huez for the 5th edition of the winter festival from March 15-22, 2025. They will be performing in the mountains and in the village on seven indoor and outdoor stages, including a brand-new covered Mainstage.
The eclectic list of artists, included AFROJACK, Agents Of Time, Agoria, Alex Wann, Alok, Andromedik, Amber Broos, Amelie Lens, Argy, Armin van Buuren, Axwell, Dimitri Vegas, DJ BORING, HAAi, Henri PFR, HUGEL, Indira Paganotto, Jennifer Cardini, Joris Voorn, Kevin de Vries, Kölsch, Lost Frequencies, LP Giobbi, MANDY, MATTN, Meduza, Mind Against, Miss Monique, Mr. Belt & Wezol, NERVO, Netsky, Nina Kraviz, Odymel, Pablo Bozzi, R3HAB, Rivo, Rose Ringed, Samm, Steve Aoki, Sub Zero Project, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Vintage Culture, W&W, Yulia Niko, and many more, will perform on a collection of indoor and outdoor stages.
This year’s festival theme is Paperworld, which organisers describe as a magical parallel universe that connects the different Tomorrowland worlds. As well as the music there will be other outdoor attractions and spectacular audiovisual experiences for visitors to enjoy.

Kronplatz Ski & Music Festival – Dolomiti Superski
This year’s Kronplatz Ski & Music Festival in Italy’s South Tyrol, features two different themed events for the first time.
The Band Edition from 20-23 March 2025 revolves around pop and street music. There will be singing and partying on the slopes and in the mountain huts, with music provided by well-known bands and street musicians from all over Europe.
The following week, DJs take over the stage at the Festival DJ’s Edition from 27- 20 March 2025. Electronic music will fill the mountains and create a unique party atmosphere both in the huts and on the slopes.
Organisers believe The Ski & Music Festival at Kronplatz combines skiing and music in a unique way and provides a great opportunity to have fun on the slopes and enjoy live music, while marvelling at the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Kronplatz is part of the impressive Dolomiti Superski area. Skiers and snowboarders have access to a modern, state-of-the-art lift system and 1,220km of piste in the Dolomites.
