The catered chalet le Grand Chazalet is located in the hamlet of le Villaret next to the lovely village of Peisey in the Peisey-Vallandry ski resort.
A stone's throw away from the doors to the Vanoise National Park, le vallon du Rosuel (Rosuel Valley).
This gorgeous chalet is a magical place to spend time over the winter and summer. If you fancy some mellow time, or have small children, you will love our living area with its triple aspect, sunshine and majestic mountain views. The grand west-facing terrace provides panoramic sunset views South to the Bellcote glacier, North West over La Plagne and East to Mont Blanc.
Larger than most chalets, Le Chazalet was designed to provide parties of up to 22 with ultimate comfort, however, it can be adapted for smaller groups up to 15.
All the 10 bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds that can be arranged as kings or twins. 8 bedrooms have an ensuite shower room with toilet and 2 bedrooms share one bathroom. When with a group of 22, next door house Le Petit Chazalet is accessible via an interior door.
For skiers and boarders we have a large booting up room with proper boot warmers and plenty of seating. The ski locker is conveniently placed outside the front door. The chalet features an outdoor hot tub with gorgeous views and a private sauna with a relaxation area.
The first lift, the Lozange 73 is walkable from the chalet at only a 250m walk away.
If you prefer not to walk to the Lonzagne 73 pedestrian lift, our staff will take you there with our free private shuttle.(1 minute drive). In the afternoon you can be picked up at the bottom of the Lonzagne ski lift and we will bring you back to the chalet, very easy!
Ski lessons can be booked in Plan Peisey. This location is at the top of the Lonzagne ski lift.
In winter this is a fully catered chalet. All about our catering can be found here. In spring, summer and autumn the chalet can be rented on a self-catered basis with Table d’Hôtes option.
The hamlet of Villaret at 1300m, in the continuation of Peisey village and one of the most quiet and sunniest sites of the valley.
The old hamlet with very old houses full of charm are for the greater part renewed tastefully and situated around the chapel. A group of newly built, high quality chalets is situated on the outskirts of the old town. Our local village, Peisey, just a short stroll away, is a traditional French village rich in history, with much of its wealth coming from the silver and lead mines and mining school at Nancroix.
Within a 10-minute car ride from the chalet you will find the valley of Rosuel. Located in an amazing natural setting, it is a plateau dominated by numerous summits over 3000 meters: Bellecôte, Aiguille du St Esprit, Mont Pourri. Gate of the Vanoise National Park and starting point for numerous mountain hikes.

You start your day with a cooked breakfast, a different hot option every day. (breakfast is 7 times a week)
When you return from the slopes a freshly baked cake awaits you.
At night we provide a healthy, balanced 3-course meal. A starter, main course and dessert. We use locally sourced products (also to support our local shops) from the best butcher, bakery and vegetable shops. Wine and beer are included during dinner. (Diner is 6 times a week, there is no dinner on Wednesday)
Consists of a selection of cereals, yoghurt, bread, jam, honey etc. and a daily cooked hot dish. Tea, coffee and fruit juice are available.
After a good day on the slopes is available on a ‘self-service’ basis, and includes a freshly baked cake, scones, etc. with tea and coffee.
We offer real chalet food. Tasty, well-cooked and nicely presented food is our passion. All the food served in the chalet is home-cooked, no processed or pre-cooked food is used. During dinner, we serve wine and beer free of charge.
