Residence De La Foret Apartments Flaine, France
These modern apartments are in an excellent location in Flaine Forêt, just 100m to the pistes and ski school meeting point (ESF Piou Piou starts at Flaine Forum). There's even a bar underneath, so stopping for an après-ski tipple couldn't be easier. The apartments are nicely decorated and the south facing apartments have the advantage of a balcony with superb views of Flaine. If you're here with the kids, make the most of the Childcare in the nearby Hotel Le Flaine and enjoy some adult-only ski time.
All have a kitchenette with hot plates, fridge, combi microwave oven, dishwasher, kettle and coffee machine, TV with international channels and WiFi (extra charge). Bed linen, towels, cleaning kit and end of stay clean (excluding kitchen) are included. Optional Infant/Baby extras available at a supplement on request.

Our Pepi Penguin Nursery (6 months-3 years) and Beanie Bear Club (3-8 years) are based in the Hotel Le Flaine. You can book places in these childcare clubs if you stay in the Hotel Terminal Neige Totem, Centaure Apartments, Residence Panoramic, Residence de la Forêt or RockyPop Flaine Hotel. All Childcare is at an extra charge and must be pre-booked to guarantee a place.
PEPI PENGUIN NURSERY (6 MONTHS - 3 YEARS)
Pepi Penguin Nursery (6 months - 3 years) is run by our team of Childcare professionals and held in a dedicated room in the hotel equipped with games and toys. Outdoor play included (weather and parental consent permitting).
Pepi Penguin Nursery includes:
• Full-day care from 8.30am – 5pm
• 2-course hot lunch
• Snacks and drinks throughout the day
• A daily routine and activities report for your child
Activities vary daily. We'll find time for stories, singing, arts and crafts including painting and collage making, plus messy play in the sand tray and free play with age-relevant toys set out for the children to choose what they want to do.
We're also really keen to take in some fresh mountain air each day, so we aim to have an outdoor activity at least once a day – maybe snowy walks, a gondola ride or snow painting. And if your child is used to a sleep, we'll factor that in too.
BEANIE BEAR CLUB (3-8 YEARS)
Beanie Bear Club (3-8 years) provides plenty of fun-filled days as our childcare staff offer a combination of care and skiing, which includes 6 x morning ski lessons, pick-up and drop-off from ski lessons, lunch and either full-day or half-day care by staff in the dedicated Beanie Bear Club room.
Full-day Beanie Bear Club includes:
• Full-day care from 8.30am – 5pm
• 6 x morning ski lessons, ski school drop-offs and pick-ups*
• Child skis, boots and helmet hire
• 2-course hot lunch
• Snacks and drinks throughout the day
• Afternoon games and outdoor fun.
Half-day Beanie Bear Club includes:
• Half-day care from 8.30am – 2pm
• 6 x morning ski lessons, ski school drop-offs and pick-ups*
• Child skis, boots and helmet hire
• 2-course hot lunch
• Snacks and drinks throughout the day
* Lift passes aren't included as each child's needs are different. If and when your child feels confident enough to use the lifts, you'll need to buy a lift pass locally.
Activities vary daily – to include games, arts and crafts and storytime – and are often based around a theme.
We're also really keen to take in some fresh mountain air each day, so we aim to have an outdoor activity at least once a day – maybe bus bingo, snowman competitions or a treasure hunt.
GOOD TO KNOW
Both Pepi Penguin Nursery and Beanie Bear Club run for 6 days and must be pre-booked to guarantee a place.
Please note, Childcare is at an extra charge, and in some instances does not extend the full length of the ski season.
Ratings are based on the operator's own rating and may not reflect the property's official star rating.
The advantage of booking a self-catered skiing holiday is often the price. The disadvantages mean either eating out, which in a ski resort is often expensive, or it means having to cook your own meals, which probably means less time skiing, and who really wants to shop and then cook an evening meal after a full days skiing?
Huski, the Alps-based catering business offers a great solution, that means you can still enjoy the great value of a ski apartment or self-catered chalet and eat well without the fuss of having to cook your own food.
Huski delivers a week’s worth of dishes, freshly frozen and ready for you to just heat and serve.
Huski catering is only available to properties in French ski resorts.
