Our excursions and activities are like icing on a gingerbread biscuit – they add that extra touch of magic to make your holiday even sweeter. From visiting Santa’s workshop to reindeer sleigh rides, we’ve got the ingredients to create unforgettable memories that will warm your heart for years to come.
Santa’s Elves Hideaway
On day 2 there’s a magical jaunt in store – a visit to one of Santa’s enchanting hideaway’s. Where you will enjoy an exclusive private family meeting with Santa himself, make sure you’ve written your letters! You can also take part in supervised festive games, cook sausages on an open fire, help the elves bake gingerbread biscuits and make decorations.Outdoors you can meet Comet the Reindeer or have great fun tobogganing or playing football in the snow.
Snowmobile Safari
Experience an exhilarating 25km ride through beautiful scenery, snow-laden forests and frozen lakes.
Snowmobiles are easy to drive on your own or sharing with a passenger. Children either share with an adult or are towed in a covered sled behind the guide (kids sleds are not covered in Ylläs).
Total excursion duration approx 2½hrs.
Combined Husky & Reindeer Safari
An animal lover’s dream and a great value excursion that makes the most of your valuable holiday time.Meet some of Santa’s reindeer deep in their silent forest hideaway. Learn about their way of life from colourful local Sámi herders and enjoy a romantic reindeer sleigh ride for 1½km across the snowy landscape.
Delicious hot fruit juice and cake will be served. Next it’s time to visit the huskies in their nearby cosy wilderness home. Learn about their way of life while huddled around a campfire inside a traditional Lappish Kota hut. Enjoy a 2km dog-sled ride through the sparkling winter landscape.

Ski Taster Package
An opportunity for guests who have never skied before to try the wonderful world of skiing. Conditions are ideal for learning to ski with empty slopes and friendly English speaking instructors. Don’t worry, you don’t necessarily have to bring separate ski gear with you as many guests ski in their included all-in-one thermal suits.
However, we would recommend bringing a pair of ski socks with you if you plan to try skiing to make sure your feet are comfortable. But beware, you may enjoy yourself so much that you will want to return to experience one of our 7 night holidays.
